Warbling Vireo Vireo gilvus
A relatively drab bird, it resides coast to coast in Canada and the U.S. avoiding unbroken mature forests. Preferring open deciduous or mixed woodlands, its nest is usually high in the trees and can be up to 90 ft.
Its diet consists of mostly insects it also eats many berries such as dogwood, sumac, pokeweed, elderberry, and poison oak, more so in late summer or fall.
Although commonly parasitized by cowbirds, its numbers have increased through forest fragmentation and clearings as it prefers edge habitats.
